In the most delightful way

Zelda was helping me put up some laundry today and she started singing "Spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, medicine go down!"

Avocado egg rolls

We had egg rolls like this when we went out for Ryan's birthday dinner last year at BJ's. I've been wanting to make them ever since. Here is my best version:

Caramelize one red onion
Fill the egg roll pastry (pre-made from the grocery store) with sliced avocado, sun dried tomato, fresh basil (I used 1 1/2 leaves torn up and evenly distributed), and some of the caramelized onion.
When you have filled as many egg rolls as you desire, fry as directed on the package. Use tamarind, mango, or other sweet chutney as a dipping sauce.

Zelda is talking so much more these days. It also amazes me just how much she actually knows. She was playing with a toy snake, the ones that move around to look real, and she curled it up, then started saying "U". I was so proud of her. Then I showed her how the snake could also make a "C".

She is absolutely adorable. My favorite is to hear her say "I lub you, Mommy." Yesterday she kept on calling me a silly butt.
